On December 3, the members of the Winchester, Va pop punk group RANDOM HOLIDAY hinted at a breakup coming later this month. Today, vocalist/guitarist and founding member Michael Frazier set the record straight by releasing a statement to us regarding the band’s decision to split up. You can read Frazier’s statement below:
“Last week Noah and I sat down and discussed our thoughts on the current state of our band. After five years, we both felt we wanted to experience something new. I’m going to be releasing a record under a new name, and Noah is going to be writing new music as well. We started the band our freshman year of high school, and are both so proud of what we accomplished. The growth we shared, experiences we’ve had, places we’ve seen, and, of course, the people we’ve met will forever be cherished. Sometimes you just have to realize that it’s time to try something fresh and keep pushing yourself even harder than you were the first time. I just want to thank every person who has ever given us a chance to play what we wrote and believed in what we were doing. The last show we are playing will be December 26 in our home town of Winchester. Va at the Blue Fox Bar. The show will feature some of our closest friends: REWARD, ONE FELL SWOOP, MOURNING, and SHOCK/CALLER. If you can make it, we would love to see you there. We are trying our best to get last show shirts printed. All proceeds will be donated to The Henry and William Evans Home For Children. Also, keep on the look out for Geneva Records, my new record label. Thank you for an incredible five years of RANDOM HOLIDAY!”
